8 most surprising important foods to start eating!

Quinoa...I know I've said it before but I'll say it again! Quinoa is a must have staple to your diet! It's jam packed with protein, fiber, rich in vitamins and minerals. The perfect carbohydrate for your meal.

Spinach..a must!!! A superfood! This leafy dark green is super important and packed with vitamin k, biotin, and folic acid!

Oysters are an excellent source of zinc, selenium, calcium, iron and Vitamin A; as well as being rich in amino acids. Oysters also help in the production of Testosterone! Also an aphrodisiac ;)

Watermelon..so watermelon is so underrated! It's not just sugar and water! The benefits of watermelon go way beyond its spongy juicy pink insides. It has the highest amount out of any fruit of an antioxidant that detoxifies the body.

Mushrooms...no matter the type! This fungi is mucho important for keeping estrogen levels at bay and fighting off cancer causing free radicals. Don't underestimate the power of FUNGUS! Mushrooms help promote muscle growth as well as regulate inflammatory biochemicals.

Eggs.. The complete protein! Totally natural and absolutely should be a staple of your diet! Don't skip out on the yolk! An example of how much yolk to consume would be 1 per every 3 whites. The yolk contains so many essential amino acids as well as important vitamins and minerals!!

Pomegranates have the highest amount of polyphenols which promotes fantastic heart and circulatory health!! They can also reduce high blood pressure.

Beets..They are just exploding with Potassium! As well as other important minerals, beets are a little higher in sodium for a vegetable, but are very beneficial! Throw some in your plane jane salad- For a little variety. The texture of beets is very nice ouhh lala.

So here's more amazing foods to incorporate on top of the rest, but just more generic and not as surprising, but of course JUST as important as the firsts. YOU Should already be including these foods below!!Some are sort of obvious..Just ideas..

PEANUT BUTTER ADDICTION

So, I'm not sure if any of you have ever tried PB2 or any peanut flour at all but it's absolutely F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C. Like one of the best inventions EVER. So, if your addicted to peanut butter like I am...than you will most likely agree as well, or if your just a pb fan than this stuff is definitely for you. You don't have to give up peanut butter after all!! How how is this possible!?! How could you have your fix and still come out on top!? How? Well PB2 IS Peanut flour and its all natural with no preservatives and from peanuts, 85% of the oil is just pressed out through the expelling process. So leaving you with the finished product of an amazing amount of fat that has just disappeared!! Peanut minus fat equals a happier YOU! which means less fat per serving and ultimately more peanut in your mouth! Yay! Jump around!!

No more fighting with your addiction! I have come to this reality!! But, I still haven't parted ways with real peanut butter, as a healthy source of fat added in my diet!! Peanuts are such a satisfying snack. So, try to mix both into your diet!! PB2 is offered in Peanut butter& chocolate as well!!

TOOTLES! xoxo

NEU

Nue is out of this world! So delicious! Amy sent me an awesomely generous amount of samples and even with a handwritten note!! I thoroughly enjoyed sampling these with both strawberry & blueberry to try, I had the best of both worlds. Each tiny ball is crafted from real fruit with a gooey center and covered with yogurt or chocolate and rolled in crunchy crisps. Handcrafted all the way from maine! They're a little higher in sugar so it's great for a post workout snack along with your protein! It's also great on the go, each package contains 180 calories of balls and its easy to grab a handful and pop in your mouth or save some for later, great for anyones schedule. Try this out- It's something "NEU"!!

XOXO Jamie

CONSISTENCY

No matter what is going on my life I always make time for an all around healthy lifestyle. Eating healthy and making time to go to the gym is completely mandetory. I don't allow myself the option to ditch the weights or  healthy plates in times of stress or a loaded schedule. Being consistant is super important in achieving your goals not only in the gym but in general. Choosing to be healthy and active is not only extremely important for your physical health, but as well as your psychological. Exercise and weight training especially will help you stave off muscle loss, keep your bones strong, and help you control your weight. Exercise can decrease stress, give you a boost of energy, and even lighten your mood. Everyone gets stressed, but what matters is how you handle it. Being positive in times of stress is hard I know but I try to send out positive energy and thoughts into the atmosphere. I try to keep my emotional state in check daily, and feed Mind, Body, & Spirit. Leading and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is about consistency. Keeping those healthy choices in check everyday, by PLANNING and being PREPARED! Don't leave your "lunch" or "breaktime snack" up to chance.."Oh, I'll find a healthy snack" Chances are you WON'T when it comes down to it. Planning ahead is extremely important for success. Changes don't happen overnight, it takes consistency for results. It really is all about the long term, and setting goals for the future will keep you striving to make those healthy descions daily. If your constitant about setting weekly and even daily goals of what you would like to accomplish then your on your way to being successful. Setting and achieving short term goals will only be your stepping stone to the MEGA Momma long term goal. So, keep setting goals, figure out what positive changes you have to make to set yourself up for success in attaining your goals, and set some "YOU" time aside!!
xoxo Until next time
